Most of my life I have had mixed feelings about money. Is money good? Is money bad? Do I deserve to have an excess of it? Are those who have money just greedy pigs? Does money make me a better or worse person? And on and on and on.
The system has purposely designed it that way too. From the beginning the ruling class could see that money and wealth are actually choices, freedom, and power. So if your aim is to promote the exact opposite of these things then obviously you would have to invert the real meaning of what money is.
Money is evil. The rich are greedy. Money can’t buy happiness. You can’t get to heaven with too much money. There’s an endless list of anti-money messages embedded within our core and they were consciously put there by those who seek to control and manipulate us.
The system as we know it collapses if we’re all suddenly become rich. If each of us is given ten million dollars today then who will do all the shit jobs tomorrow? Would you clean toilets if you had more money in your bank account than you could spend in a lifetime? Would you work in dangerous mines underground or on oil rigs in the middle of the ocean? Would you be a bureaucrat? Would you do any soul-destroying work at all?
Of course you wouldn’t. You would have to be a masochist or a little bit thick in the head to want to clean toilets just for the fun of it.
Which means the core of society would have to be rewritten if we all suddenly became free and powerful. You can see why one would use the tools of poverty, lack, struggle and distraction to control the masses. If I was among the ruling elite a couple of thousand years ago then I probably would have come up with a similar solution as its the easiest and most obvious one.
But that doesn’t mean that I’m going to settle with my enslavement today. Simply being conscious of what is being done to us and how money is used to influence and control our whole lives should be more than enough motivation to get radical about changing your situation.
And by change I don’t mean making signs and protesting or sending silly letters to silly politicians. I mean changing yourself. Standing strong and doing something about your life. Setting yourself free.
Freedom Units or Units of Freedom!
So rather than obsessing about the label of money and all the mixed messages and stink that comes with the word I created my own: Freedom Units.
Units of Freedom is an accurate description of what money actually is and there’s no guilt when you love freedom. Who has ever felt bad about wanting more freedom?!
Your man in the clouds is never going to be upset with you when you accumulate truckloads of freedom. So much freedom that you can choose to do whatever you want, wherever you want, whenever you want!
Freedom Units puts things in perspective when thinking about money yourself or when talking to others. The general population is generally totally stupid when the subject of money is brought up. But fewer people have a problem with freedom and choices.
Freedom Units are similar to what some call FU Money I guess. F# You Money is having more than enough money to say no to the system. Where you have enough to say no to a job that you don’t like or no to government mandates or no to any form of coercion.
I prefer to refer to them as Freedom Units though as I’m not interested in being offensive if I don’t absolutely have to. All I’m interested in is my Freedom and those I care about. So the more Units of Freedom I have the more I can live a free life with unlimited choices.
