I’m sure they’re out there but I have never met a free human being that planned for and worked hard to achieve their freedom who sits on the beach or plays computer games all day everyday. Some might do those things a whole lot more when they first free themselves from the slave system but that gets old pretty quickly. All of the free people I know of live much more meaningful lives than 9to5ers and they have the time and resources to follow their passions.
I believe that this whole FIRE thing attracts mostly good people. They sense the inherent evil in a system that takes their freedom from them for sixty years and they do something to rectify the situation.
Good people take full responsibility for their situation and find solutions to the problems that make them less human. This constructed reality that we exist in is anti-human and should be exited as quickly as possible. Waiting around for forty years while our government pension plan builds up is not a sane option.
You Can Have Freedom TODAY!..
The fastest exit is to step out of society and straight into the forest. Bam. Grass, leaves and a cave. You can have your freedom today if you’re comfortable with cave-life and don’t mind eating bugs.. or bugs eating you if you live in the tropics.
But if you’ve grown to like your comforts and appreciate the conveniences of modern society then creating a Freedom Fund is probably the most logical step forward. If you know of a better escape then please share it with all of us in the comments below.
The majority of those seeking freedom are very aware of the situation. They know what’s really going on, even if it’s at an unconscious level. It’s why many of us are so passionate about achieving financial freedom as quickly as possible. Some of us take it too far and become obsessed with freedom because the stench of slavery and the backwards conditioning becomes intolerable.
Once we rid ourselves of this filthy stench then we deserve a year or two off but then we owe it to humanity to evolve. Evolving comes in many forms but it doesn’t include spending all of your time at the beach or playing video games. Neither does it include working in a horrible job for 50 years.
I’ve met free humans who are passionate about the environment and spend much of their time and money on improving the situation as best they can. I’ve also met those who created a Freedom Fund and continue to spend just as much time working in their business. I’ve never met a free human being that has retired early and sat on the beach for fifteen years.
Some people work even harder in retirement but they’re focused on a cause that brings them great joy, so they’re not really working, they’re following their passion.
Retiring early isn’t about dropping out of society necessarily, it’s more about fully engaging on a human level.
